Weddings Money Saving tips for the Frugal Bride! 1. Hire a planner. If you are working with a limited budget you don't have extra money to be wasted on avoidable mistakes, a planner will save you great expense in the long run because you won't have to worry about costly mistakes. Planners are very familiar with local vendors, they know where to go to get the best service/product for the best rate which will save hundreds in the end. 2. Get married off season. January, February, March and November are the best months to consider if you want to save some money. This is not a busy time for most vendors so you can usually expect rates to be significsntly less. 3. Set a budget in the beginning and stick to it. Its very easy to get carried away once you start your planning and see all the beautiful extravangant things the industry has to offer. There will be no worse feeling than after its all over and you realized that you went over board and now reality has set in. You have a future to look forward to and in debt isn't the best way to start. A good planner will be able to keep you in your budget at all costs. 4. Consider Buffet over a Plated dinner. Buffet prices per person are almost always cheaper, and you are able to give guests variety and still have a nice menu. You won't have to worry about needing lots of extra staff to serve guests. 5. When all else fails, cut your guest list. The fewer guests the less money you will spend. Make a list starting with those closest to you so when you have to cut start from the bottom. You don't have to include Everyone you know and your parents know and so on. Do you really have to invite co-workers? They will usually understand that family and friends come first. It's better to have the wedding you always dreamed up with fewer guests than a lot of guests and disaster wedding. We know and use all these tips plus many more effective cost saving methods to produce the wedding you always dreamed of on a limited budget. |
